Another milestone in Taiwan! Following the completion of all jacket foundations at the Hai Long 2 and Hai Long 3 Offshore Wind Farms in August this year, our Taiwanese joint venture CDWE continues to make strong progress in advancing the project’s construction by successfully installing all 37 wind turbines at the Hai Long 2 Offshore Wind Farm, together with Employer Hai Long Offshore Wind and our partners Shimizu Corporation and Siemens Gamesa. Building on this achievement, our CDWE team remains committed to delivering excellence and driving progress toward Taiwan’s clean energy future. We are excited to share that the 25 MW Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm in France has officially been inaugurated. This significant milestone showcases advancements in floating wind technology and represents a vital step forward in harnessing renewable energy in deeper waters. Reflecting on this development, we see parallels in our own projects, particularly in the challenges of deploying technology in harsh marine environments. As the industry pushes the boundaries of floating wind, the lessons learned from Provence Grand Large will undoubtedly inform our future endeavours. Get to know Belwind, our longest operating project,⚡which has been operational since 2010. Belwind is a 171 MW offshore wind farm located approximately 49 km off the coast of Ostend, Belgium - one of the most distant wind farms within Belgium’s offshore development zone. 🌐 Used as a testing ground for several R&D projects including the testing of the largest wind turbine at the time, it helped the industry make important steps in advancing offshore wind technologies. 🏗️🌿 This project highlights our long-standing commitment to unlocking the value of offshore wind. [NEWS] Vestas has completed the installation of 25 offshore wind turbines at the Kitakyushu-Hibikinada wind farm in Japan, one of the largest offshore wind farms currently in operation in the country. 🗾🎌 In 2025, the company reached a new milestone in Taiwan with the Fengmiao I project and at the beginning of September, it was involved in the acquisition of an onshore blade factory in Poland. The first monopile has been installed at Iberdrola’s Windanker offshore wind farm in the German Baltic Sea. Using Van Oord’s vessel Svanen, the 84-metre, 2,100-tonne foundations are produced by Navantia and Windar Renovables. Windanker will deploy 21 Siemens Gamesa 15 MW turbines, adding 315 MW by 2026. Szczecin is the beating heart of Poland’s wind industry, and a significant manufacturing and logistics hub for wind energy projects across Europe and beyond. Following a 2-day visit to our production facilities in the city this week, our CEO Mauricio F. Quintana had the pleasure of hosting a roundtable dinner with participation of officials from the City of Szczecin, the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, with universities and a select range of industry leaders to discuss the state of the wind energy buildout, and challenges and opportunities for future growth in West Pomerania; with highlights including: Poland is poised for a significant uptick in wind energy in the years to come, where increasing buildout on- and offshore, together with repowering of older wind farms, will contribute significantly to Poland’s green, secure, and competitive energy supply. The wind industry is long established Polish success story, due to strong skillsets, infrastructure and a competitive supply base. Today, almost one in two working in the Polish energy sector are in the wind energy industry. To lock in future growth and a robust and profitable Polish value chain, it’s important to keep a stable and predictable regulatory environment, and to attract, up- and reskill talent to work in the sector, including young people when choosing their future career path. We’re proud to have been part of the industrial ecosystem around Szczecin for more than 20 years, during which our company has grown from being a relatively small player, to now hosting our largest global manufacturing facility in Szczecin, employing +1350 highly skilled colleagues in our factories and city offices.
