"I deleted 80% of our blog posts and organic traffic DOUBLED" Not a typo Here's the thing about SaaS content that no one talks about... Your content strategy is failing because of what I call the CALL framework: 1. Conversion Intent (C) Most SaaS blogs are info dumps with zero strategy. You need: • Clear CTAs • Strategic conversion paths • Revenue-focused content Not just "helpful" posts that lead nowhere. 2. AI Content (A) Here's what I see constantly: Founders saying "SEO doesn't work" while pumping out pure AI content. Spoiler alert: AI content... • Won't rank well relatively • Won't convert • Won't build trust 3. Low Quality (L) Want to know why your competitors outrank you? They understand that quality means: • Proper NLP optimization • Strategic keyword placement • Google-friendly structure Not just throwing words on a page or writing about whatever you want. 4. Low Volume (L) "We publish once a week!" That's the problem. One post per week = invisible to Google You need: • Minimum 2-3 posts weekly • Consistent output • Scalable system Here's the reality: You can't win with low-volume, low-quality AI content that has zero conversion intent. Sometimes less is more. But only if it's: --> Strategic --> High-quality --> Conversion-focused -Adam P.S Have a great weekend!
You saved the time and cost for crawlers. They rewarded you with traffic. P.S. How did you identify the zombie pages, Adam?
Exactly—most SaaS blogs fail because they chase quantity over strategy. Deleting content isn’t about giving up, it’s about making room for posts that actually convert, rank, and build trust.
I think the problem is not with using AI to write content, your content should have a unique POV in it. Adam Hamdan
Your post once again reminds me that Quality>>>Quantity. However, I've some questions to ask: - How much traffic was generated by those 80% posts? - When you delete the posts, do you just remove them or redirect them? - Have you built any links for the remaining 20% posts?
Bold strategy Adam! Quality over quantity wins.
That's wild. Just goes to show that quality beats quantity every time Especially when they're doo doo blog posts lol
Prioritizing quality and conversion is essential for real growth.
A good mix of quality + quantity + relevance.
