Commonwealth Bank Brendan Hopper's talk at NVIDIA's AI day was excellent but how does Pip the dog relate to AI? Exactly the question that raced through my mind as the slide jumped up. The answer: "My owner is a pretty stupid dog" - Pip the dog. While the talk covered far more depth, this moment sparked an idea. It perfectly illustrated how AI can help simulate perspectives synthetically - to understand the diverse viewpoints, biases, and needs of our customers and team mates. Generating synthetic opinions and workshopping your thought pattern can be a really valuable use of the many tools we have available. Naturally these go hand in hand with the actual real feedback from humans, but it allows susbtantial leverage. NEXTDC #whereaithrives #wherethecloudlives #thinkdifferent

Of all the ways executives discuss using AI with me, generating synthetic opinions, critiques, perspectives, business lens is the most common use-case for voice-mode in ChatGPT/Copilot/Gemini. "While driving in the car on my way to work or on my way home - I prepare for the day or collect my thoughts in this way." "While walking to a meeting, I quickly chat to an opposing point-of-view, simulating the concerns I may need to contend with and be better prepared to communicate the value of my position."
