I attended an "alumni" lunch on Sunday ... for ex Standard Chartered staff. First time ever I've attended such an event anywhere. A good time was had by all and all that stuff. I would love to do it again. But here's the sting in the tail...of this tale. An alumni who had a storied career, awarded a datukship etc, happily mixed with everybody at the lunch. I didn't know him well, but was happy to shake his hand and bid goodbye, see you again etc etc. On Monday morning he was gone due to a sudden illness. On Sunday we all were happily chatting, and on Monday morning he's on next gathering's "Dearly Departed..." list. You never know when this can happen to you or anybody. Say yes to every opportunity to meet with friends and loved ones. Jamie Ling Pik-Yee Foong Zaiton Hj Idrus Mohd Najid Yahya Gillian Chong Shanna Lim
I was there sir.. Working.. But didn't notice U were there for the reunion luncheon 😅
Life is such a fleeting moment. Thats why I say yes to any reasonable reasons to do something. Innalillah... PS: Pik-Yee Foong is a fellow board member at the School of Business Monash Malaysia.
Life is short. Enjoy it to the max. We should organize one for ex PMG Penang.
Sad story but true. Laughter on a Sunday and tears on Monday morning...
Salam takziah.
