𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱: 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆’𝘀 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱-𝘁𝗼-𝗥𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗼𝗼 Coronation is making a significant move in Sydney’s emerging build-to-rent (BtR) market with plans for a large mixed-use precinct in Waterloo. The development, featuring over 850 fully-furnished apartments along with 70 affordable units for essential workers, retail spaces, and cultural programs, aims to address Sydney’s tight rental market and low vacancy rates. Led by developer Joe Nahas, the Waterloo scheme represents a “defining moment” for BtR in New South Wales, blending housing diversity, community activation, and placemaking. With the Australian BtR sector set to triple in size over the next five years, Coronation’s hospitality-inspired platform, Nation, positions the company as a key player in delivering innovative, large-scale rental housing solutions. Pending approvals, the Waterloo development is expected to complete by late 2027 or early 2028. https://lnkd.in/d9wCXdnK

The Queensland Government has officially opened Expressions of Interest for the landmark Gabba Entertainment Precinct — a world‑class, 9‑hectare mixed‑use redevelopment anchored by a 17,000‑seat indoor arena in Woolloongabba. Designed to be delivered ahead of the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the project will reshape Brisbane’s inner‑city living and entertainment experience. With direct connections to Cross River Rail, Clem7 Tunnel, and the South East Busway, the precinct will become a seamless urban hub linking South Bank, the CBD, and Fortitude Valley. Once complete, the new arena will replace the ageing Brisbane Entertainment Centre and bring new life to Gabba West and East — evolving into a vibrant community with residential, commercial, and hospitality precincts surrounded by public green spaces. This multi‑billion-dollar investment aligns with Brisbane’s booming $201 billion economy, supporting the state’s vision of delivering 1 million new homes by 2044 while fueling tourism, lifestyle, and property growth across South East Queensland. For property investors, developers, and residents alike, the Gabba Entertainment Precinct signals a powerful shift toward urban integration and lifestyle living, setting the tone for Brisbane’s next growth decade. 📍 At The Urban Land Queensland, we track major developments shaping our region’s future — helping buyers and investors discover where opportunity meets growth. #GabbaEntertainmentPrecinct #UrbanLandQLD #Brisbane2032 #SEQGrowth #InfrastructureQLD #BrisbaneDevelopment #InvestmentOpportunity #CityTransformation #LifestyleLivingQLD #QueenslandFuture

🏆 Leader of Wirral Council, Cllr Paula Basnett has praised local developers after two major projects in Wirral won awards at Insider's Liverpool City Region Property Awards 2025. Millers Quay won the Residential Development of the Year while the Future Ambition Award was won by the Hind Street Urban Village soon to be built adjacent to Birkenhead town centre. Cllr Basnett said: "These are prestigious awards which recognise innovative and exciting developments taking place in Wirral. The judges said Millers Quay was 'a bold and characterful project' and most importantly saw that it meets the local community's needs while also helping to bring the waterfront site to life. "Hind Street is going to be one of the most significant developments in Birkenhead for generations. "Both these developments and others in the pipeline show Wirral is able to work with private sector partners to deliver the high quality developments which are already and will in the future make a real and positive difference to our borough and its residents." Hind Street and Millers Quay are among 10 projects in Wirral which are also shortlisted in the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards which is due to take place in November.

A major milestone for Bella Vista - as featured in the Daily Telegraph today. We are pleased to share that Landen has officially lodged a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) for its Bella Vista community, paving the way for one of the first Transit-Oriented Developments in the Metro precinct. On approval, the $570 million project is set to deliver 444 new homes between Bella Vista and Kellyville metro stations, designed to support a diverse mix of residents: families, downsizers and professionals seeking connected living in Sydney’s north west. With Western Sydney expected to absorb over half of Sydney’s population growth by 2041, the need for well-planned, sustainable housing has never been more prominent. Bella Vista, alone, is forecast to more than double in size by 2046. “As the first TOD proposal in Bella Vista, it highlights Landen’s ability to pioneer precinct-scale projects, integrate housing with infrastructure, and deliver outcomes that align with government priorities,” says Shane Harding, Landen’s Head of Property. Construction is expected to commence in mid-2026, with completion anticipated in 2028. Our Site Team at the former Bellgrove Hotel was delighted to welcome 2nd year pupils from Shawlands Academy earlier this week, where they were given a first-hand look at the progress made on one of Glasgow's most exciting residential developments. Located in the Gallowgate, 70 low-carbon homes are being delivered for Wheatley Group, with the former B-listed hotel being converted into 14 flats, with a further 56 flats constructed on the adjoining land. The pupils will have gained a fascinating insight into the inner workings of CCG's advanced construction methods, zero-emissions heating technologies, and the intricate measures we have put in place to retain the hotel's Art Moderne facade. Their visit was facilitated through DYW Glasgow's Construction Aware Programme. A partnership initiative with the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and FARE Scotland , CCG has been a proud supporter of the programme for several years now, and we are delighted to see it receive industry recognition after being announced as a finalist for this year's Built Environment - Smarter Transformation Accelerate to Net Zero Awards! #construction #constructionindustry #community #communities #communitybenefit #housing #schools #Glasgow #Glasgowcity #builtenvironment

1wYou would have to say based on the photo that modern architecture leaves a lot to be desired. We need buildings that are both functional and great design, not just square blocks of concrete
