Google is investing $15 billion to establish a data center and AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. The investment, announced by Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, will be the company's largest AI hub outside the U.S. and will roll out over five years. The project aims to enhance India's digital infrastructure, create high-skilled jobs, and support AI-driven transformation across the country. The hub will include a purpose-built data center campus and a new international subsea gateway to improve connectivity.
