Wow, what a journey! Last Monday marked the end of six months of Expo Osaka. Looking back, we can proudly say it was a very successful particiption. We welcomed about 1.2 million visitors in the Netherlands pavilion, sold 150,000 stroopwafels, 40,000 herrings (Dutch sashimi), and countless Miffy articles. Throughout the Expo, we hosted more than 140 events, with 350 representatives from businesses, knowledge institutions, cultural organisations and other partners taking part. There were many highlights - the formal opening by Prime Minister Mr. Schoof, the visit of His Majesty the King, six trade missions led by ministers and vice-ministers, unforgettable performances by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and Introdans, and a large dance event promoting the Dutch dance industry with more than 10,000 visitors- too many to name them all! I would like to thank the team in The Hague, Tokyo and Osaka, the pavilion staff, Van der Linde, and AND BV, and everyone else involved who made this possible. And a special thanks to Japan for hosting this Expo! 🇯🇵🇳🇱
