Alectra Inc.’s Post

Last Friday, members of Alectra’s Learning Team, Jennifer Lindley, CHRL, CMP, ACC and Jonah Russell, partnered with CGC Educational Communications to host a workshop introducing the Electricity Now program to 45 science teachers in the City of St. Catharines. Electricity Now is a bilingual, standardized national electricity education program for Grade 9 and 10 students. It aims to close the gaps in electricity and climate change education while inspiring the next generation to explore careers in the energy sector — a crucial step as Canada works toward achieving Net Zero by 2050. Developed by Electricity Canada and Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC), and supported by partners like Alectra, this program empowers educators with the tools and knowledge to help youth understand how electricity powers our future sustainably. Together, we’re helping spark curiosity, innovation, and a sustainable energy future. #ElectricityNow #AlectraUtilities #NetZero2050 #STEMEducation #EnergyFuture #Sustainability #CommunityImpact

CGC Educational Communications has always had first-rate electricity educational programs! Nice to see that the next generation will benefit from this excellent program. I have fond memories of Generation Conservation that was rolled out to schools 15 years ago. Marcia Cunningham John Gregory
