World Record! HERLOGAS Melts 560,000 Tons of Salt in Noor Energy 1  🔥 We are proud to announce the successful completion of our participation in the Noor Energy 1 project in Dubai, in collaboration with Shanghai Electric, achieving: 🔹 Melting of 560,000 tons of salt (CT+ PT1+ PT2 + PT3). 🔹 Preheating of all 26 molten salt storage tanks This landmark project, part of Phase 4 of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, is now the largest concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in the world — 700 MW CSP + 250 MW PV — delivering clean and dispatchable solar energy, even at night, at a world-record low cost of 7.3 US cents/kWh, without subsidies. With this milestone, HERLOGAS strengthens its global leadership in molten Salt Thermal Energy Storage: 🌎 32+ International Solar Thermal Projects 🔥 106+ tanks successfully preheated 🧂 1,280,000+ tons of salt melted worldwide This achievement marks a major step forward in the global energy transition and the fight against climate change. A huge thanks to our outstanding HERLOGAS team who made it happen! 💪 📸 Swipe through to see the scale of this project and the team in action.

Massive respect to the HERLOGAS and Shanghai Electric teams. Projects like Noor Energy 1 show how thermal storage and CSP can deliver clean energy even at night. A benchmark for scalable climate resilience—especially in arid regions like the Gulf. #CSP #ThermalStorage #CleanEnergy #Dubai #ClimateSolutions #SmartInfrastructure

Nice achievement! I have always wondered why this kind of solution has not been adopted and in wide use already; several decades have passed since the first tests were made and the technology seems relatively straightforward.

Great achievement! I see CSP growing not only in the field of power production but also heat production. Many industries that require heat and building an industrial plant adjacent to the CSP will have many benefits in terms of energy savings and decarbonization.
