Starting now: – A permissionless rotation algorithm chooses block production and finalization committees from all community validators, shifting control from a few trusted nodes to a broader, decentralized community. – The Aleph Zero Foundation has one reserved seat in the 14-member block finalization committee. This ensures a swift response to unlikely future finalization issues while maintaining system decentralization. – The block production committee size has been reduced from 50 to 30 seats. This change extends the time a validator is not in the committee, allowing them to update their node without affecting staking rewards.
