My very first work coming out of undergraduate was actually risk management. So it was helping the Department of Homeland Security figure out like, how do we think about risk as a system? Cover is an AI native company built to help innovators, whether those are in government or in industry, deliver for the mission. Make this job of security as as easy, as painless, as fast as humanly possible. You got to play defense right? There are there are attacks out there. The, the, the, the threats, the. The attack surface, it's huge. You got to defend a lot of things at the same time when you're going to deliver for a mission. Because the end of the day, there's war fighter. Depending on the safety and security of the information system they're using, of the weapon system they're using, or whatever the case may be, or if you're a publicly traded company, your executives are on the hook to make sure that your company is safe and secure. This is not just a war fighter conversation. This is like as a country, we've chosen to protect ourselves as we should because we have fiduciary responsibility to do. That does not mean we have to take two years and $2,000,000 to do that.

At the core of every strong business partnership you find one common value….Trust. In my business, it can sometimes get clouded (pun intended) by metrics of number of leads shared, connections made, and dollars to the bottom line. But the single thing driving consistency in any of those performance metrics comes down to Trust. Trust between internal teams, trust with partner teams, trust that by working together we deliver better value to our shared customers.

Trust is an evolving category in the enterprise, and directly relevant to customer expectations and requirements. And resilience is a strategic priority for global businesses. They’re becoming the preferred route for cyber criminals. The Financial Times recently highlighted how nearly a third of cyber attacks in 2024 originated via third parties, with attackers exploiting the “soft underbelly” of supply chains to reach their real targets.
