🔬What if robots could free scientists from repetitive tasks, so they could focus entirely on innovation? Automation is no longer exclusive to factories. Today, research, diagnostic and biotechnology laboratories are undergoing an interesting process of incorporating robotics. In our latest article, we explore how mobile robots and manipulators are transforming the way labs operate: https://lnkd.in/djhC69_j 💡 Some key insights from this transformation: In 2024, over 3,300 mobile robots were sold for lab applications: a 610% increase compared to the previous year. 💡Modern labs demand precision, safety, and adaptability. RB-THERON+ is our Mobile Manipulator developed for working in labs. 💡Robotics is redefining the human role in laboratories: fewer repetitive tasks, more innovation. #labs #robotics #automation

🤖 It’s fascinating to see how robotics is transforming the world beyond factories — stepping into labs, diagnostics, and biotech. The fact that mobile robots are now taking over repetitive lab tasks so scientists can focus purely on innovation says a lot about where we’re headed. I can’t help but think how this shift could shape industries closer to home — textile, pharma, and food — where precision, consistency, and data are everything. Would we see robots rolling through our mills or production floors in the next few years? I believe it’s not a matter of ifanymore, but when. #Robotics #Automation #Innovation #AI #Industry40

🚀 Myo-Controlled Robot Project – Quick Success Challenge at Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology During the Innovation Workshop’s Quick Success series, I had the opportunity to work on a project that combined biosignals and robotics in a very short timeframe. 🧩 The Challenge: Build a robot that can be controlled directly by human muscle activity using a Myo armband. Our prototype had to show a practical demo within just a few hours. ⚙️ What we did: Captured EMG signals (electrical activity of muscles) through the Myo armband. Programmed mappings of gestures (flex / relax) to motor movements of a small robot. Fine-tuned thresholds and responsiveness until the robot performed smoothly. 🎯 The Result: A functional Myo-controlled manipulator that could respond to gestures and push gaming blocks off a table in real time — proving how human–machine interaction can be prototyped quickly with the right tools and teamwork. 💡 Key Learnings: Translating biosignals into precise robotic motion. Hardware + software integration under time pressure. How rapid prototyping reveals the potential of next-gen human–machine interfaces. Grateful to the Skoltech Innovation Workshop team for designing such hands-on challenges that expand problem-solving and creativity. #MyoControl #Robotics #InnovationWorkshop #HumanMachineInterface #RapidPrototyping #Skoltech

How Robots Learn to Follow Lines? At Makers' Muse’, learning comes alive through curiosity and hands-on exploration. In this video, Parth Agrawal, Founder of Makers' Muse’, explains the fascinating science behind line-following robots. Using infrared sensors, these robots detect differences in reflected light. Dark colors absorb more light, light colors reflect more and the robot uses these variations to follow a path with precision. This simple yet powerful concept demonstrates how STEM principles come to life, sparking curiosity and creativity in young minds.
