We're witnessing a complete transformation that's reshaping how we think about farming. The developments I've been following in 2025 are incredible: ✅ AI-powered robots that selectively harvest delicate fruits without any damage ✅ Drone fleets using multispectral imaging for real-time crop monitoring ✅ Underground soil health robots analyzing root systems and composition ✅ Swarm robotics enabling multiple small robots to coordinate seamlessly across large farms The results speak for themselves. Precision planting and weeding robots are achieving up to 30% yield increases! Some systems are reducing operational costs by 35% through lower labor, chemical, and water inputs. Kubota's success story really stands out to me - they've deployed over 700 autonomous machines by 2024 in Japan alone, from tractors to rice transplanters operating with GPS precision. 🚜🤖 Excited to share one of my recent projects at Dexweaver! I developed a cucumber harvesting system that integrates custom object detection with YOLOv11. Once cucumbers are detected, we generate specific actions for two synchronized robots: 🦾 ViperX 300s arm robot – for precise picking 🚗 Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) – for collection and transport The main objective was to build a comprehensive dataset capturing both robotic actions and visual data during harvesting. This dataset will help train and refine algorithms, pushing agricultural robotics toward greater efficiency and reliability.
