What no working professional MBA brochure prepares you for (beyond the more obvious 22-month coursework): 🤗 Community and network test: For every person who stood by me and even the ones who didn’t. I did it! This has been in the thought work for over 11 years. And now, it’s real. 🙏 The 2am lifelines: When the world felt upside down, some people just showed up. To anyone considering deferring, there’s no wrong choice. It's tough. But if you stay, know that you won’t come out the same. You’ll come out stronger. ☕ Caffeine: I never drank coffee before this program. Turns out, rocket ship by day and study bay by night plus the Bay Area commute is no joke. Try the Orbit vietnamese coffee. ✔️ Advil: Because not every headache (or cramp) could be solved with caffeine or motivational quotes. A hangover you ask? I'd say may be a couple of times. Ask my classmates, there's an Advil leaderboard. 🫠 Carefully choose what gets your energy, and what you must release - this goes a long way. Sometimes step up, step down and occasionally, step aside. Even if you’re running on caffeine, deadlines, and a sheer will to power through. Make it look like a piece of cake? Not my advice. (Picture proof below: a sleep-deprived studying/working professional channeling some Sather Tower energy) To anyone wondering if the MBA is worth it- It is. Maybe not in the way you expect, but in the way you need. #haasemba #haasemba25
