Genie Fertility raises $1.2M to improve uterine health diagnosis

We started Genie Fertility to bring precision care to uterine health, and have raised $1.2M in pre-seed! 🩸 The uterus is central to the female reproductive system - but it is often ignored in reproductive diagnoses because it is hard to access. Powered by proprietary patient datasets, multi-omic computational models and wet lab research, Genie Fertility’s ML discovery platform powers novel reproductive biomarker discovery. With leading advisors from The University of Melbourne, Harvard Medical School and Imperial College, our first product in development is a non-invasive fertility diagnostic for uterine health that studies a range of molecular markers in the uterus lining using menstrual blood. Proud to partner with Tiny Supercomputer Investment Company, Atlas Sgr, 33East, Arben Ventures, Entrepreneurs First and Transpose Platform, alongside incredible angels including THETI CLUB, Female Angels Club Frederike Rohr, Christina Costaridi Crosby and Reme Nicole Urubusi. 💰 London-based biotech startup Genie Fertility has emerged from stealth with $1.22 million in pre-seed funding to develop a non-invasive fertility diagnostic for uterine health using menstrual blood analysis. The round includes participation from Tiny Supercomputer Investment Company, 33East, Arben Ventures, Transpose Platform, and Entrepreneurs First. The uterus accounts for up to 25% of fertility issues, yet remains underexplored in fertility treatment compared to sperm, egg, and embryo health. Current assessment requires invasive endometrial biopsies that are expensive, painful, and can leave scar tissue. 🩸 💬 "The health of the uterus lining has long been a blindspot for clinicians because it can only be accessed through invasive biopsy. Our non-invasive diagnostic addresses this fundamental gap."
