This is rather consequential (if you like Claude and live in an MS environment). The challenges around corporate security assessments will persist though - especially where confidential information needs to be silo'd or protected in some way. Claude also released Skills this morning - arguable more impactful at this time as a sort of "CustomGPT on steroids".

This is awesome! Improved enterprise search and being able to align your enterprise to one repo is a terrific and important step. We're excited that Anthropic will be one of the AI models available in Minduo. The bigger challenge we see: firms use Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, Jira, and dozens more tools - not just M365. The same knowledge needs to work everywhere. You’ve got all the tools: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, the whole productivity buffet. But here’s the thing: using the default https://lnkd.in/dqHR_3b2 email doesn’t exactly scream professional. If you really want to look sharp (and win trust with clients), you’ll need to connect your own custom domain, like yourname.com or yourbusiness.org. Adding a custom domain to Microsoft 365 is much easier than it sounds. Let’s walk through it step by step. You can buy a custom domain directly from Microsoft and skip all the complicated DNS setup. Here’s how to get that setup Step 1: Go to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center Log in at admin.microsoft.com From the menu, click: Settings → Domains → Buy domain Step 2: Search for Your Domain Type in the name you want (e.g., yourbusiness.com) and check if it’s available. If it is, go ahead and purchase it right there. Pick something short, simple, and easy to remember. Step 3: Microsoft Sets It Up for You Here’s the beauty of buying through Microsoft: They automatically verify the domain They configure all the DNS records (MX, CNAME, etc.) Your email, Teams, and SharePoint will work immediately. No extra setup required. Step 4: Make It Your Default Back in the Admin Center → go to Domains → set your new domain as the default. From now on, new users will get email addresses like: user@yourbusiness.com Step 5: Test Everything Send yourself a test email, try Teams and Outlook, and make sure everything works.
