From LLMs to Autonomous AI Agents Language models revolutionized AI by excelling at predicting what comes next in a sentence. Retrieval-Augmented Generation made AI outputs smarter with tailored responses powered by real, dynamic information. Now, a new frontier is emerging: Agentic AI. Here’s how the landscape is progressing: ✅ LLM: Simply generates information on request ✅ RAG: Customizes responses using external knowledge ✅ Agentic AI: Operates independently - planning, improving, and actively pursuing objectives 🔷 Why is Agentic AI a breakthrough? ▸ Remembers – Holds onto data from past interactions, growing more capable ▸ Strategizes – Breaks projects into manageable steps and adapts ▸ Acts – Leverages APIs, tools, and backend services to perform real tasks ▸ Achieves – Doesn’t just provide answers - takes actions to get results credit:- Habib Shaikh follow Devjyoti Seal for more insights

From predicting words ➝ to personalizing context ➝ to taking autonomous actions — this is the evolution of AI into Agentic systems. What excites me most is not just the memory or reasoning, but the ability of these systems to plan, adapt, and execute real-world tasks without constant human hand-holding. This is why Agentic AI is being called the next major leap in AI — it doesn’t just ‘respond,’ it remembers, strategizes, and achieves. 👉 The question now is: how do we design these systems with trust and governance built in from day one?”

Harnessing Generative AI for internal audit activities Organizations around the world are scrambling to solve the riddle of artificial intelligence (AI). The introduction of easy-to-use generative AI (Gen AI) models, such as ChatGPT, DALL-E, and Microsoft Copilot, created an unprecedented level of rapid adoption. The lure of improved efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness promised by such tools is too enticing to pass up. Effectively integrating AI into operations and strategies is the goal. If done right, it can deliver transformative results to any organization. Everyone’s talking about using AI, But the real shift is AI that can use itself. Agentic AI won’t wait for your commands it will take initiative, make decisions, and complete goals on your behalf. That means less prompting, more doing. We’re entering a phase where AI becomes a digital teammate, not just a tool. And the businesses that learn to collaborate with it early will lead the next wave of innovation. 👉 What’s the one task you wish AI could handle entirely on its own?

One of the key lessons I'm internalizing in my AI journey is how starkly different LLM behavior can be based on model, RAG, and inference parameters. The idea of AI supervising other AI sounds ridiculous at first, but in practice, having one well-grounded, tightly-aligned, narrowly-focused AI solution governing a more versatile AI actually *works*. For example, having a small, rule-abiding reasoning agent validating outputs from a more creative user-facing chatbot. As with most things in the LLM space, it can only mitigate problems, not eliminate them entirely, but that doesn't negate the value. It comes at (literal) cost, however. It drives up resource usage and response times, and we're already so accustomed to "fast food" AI. Will we accept slower, more expensive AI for higher *quality*, or will we only tolerate quality when it gets cheaper? Perhaps we'll just continue to iteratively improve quality as ways emerge to reduce costs. Businesses implementing AI (and LLMs in particular) have to make a decision about this (likely numerous times), and the consequences of those decisions get passed on to us as consumers. Something to keep in mind as you make decisions about AI at your organization, but also as an end-user of AI. #AI #LLM #AIGovernance

I'm more fascinated by how accessible AI has become than by how powerful it is. AI is changing every aspect of work, from professionals automating processes to businesses making data-driven decisions to students using it for research. Here's the truth, though: AI improves thinking rather than replaces it. Although it can produce options, we make the decision. We interpret meaning, but it can process data. We make the decisions, but it can predict. AI + Humans, not AI vs. Humans, is in my opinion, the way of the future. Those who can work with AI will advance more quickly than those who can't
