The second meeting of the BASIS Standing Committee on IPR was held on Saturday, 19 April 2025 at the BASIS Boardroom. The meeting was chaired by Ms. Tasnuva Shelley, Chairman of the Committee, with Co-Chair Engr. Muhammad Mahbub Hussain and Member-in-Charge Mr. Md. MOSTAIN BILLAH present. The meeting was facilitated by Md. Zulfiker Hayder, secretariat-in-charge of the committee. The committee had a productive discussion focused on planning for World IP Day, which will be observed on 26 April. Ideas were shared around creating awareness about intellectual property rights through seminars and workshops in partnership with universities, legal practitioners, and other relevant stakeholders. The aim is to highlight the importance of IPR in Bangladesh and encourage stronger collaboration across sectors to build a more informed and resilient IP ecosystem.
