believe housing’s Post

Last week, colleagues from believe housing attended the Launchpad Armed Forces Dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead - an inspiring event celebrating the strength of the Armed Forces community and the life-changing support Launchpad provides to veterans. As proud sponsors, we reaffirmed our commitment to supporting those who’ve served. Since signing the Armed Forces Covenant in 2020, we have earned bronze, silver and gold awards from the Ministry of Defence. Our ongoing support includes: ✅ Recruiting from the forces community ✅ Offering paid leave and volunteering days for military service ✅ Supporting Armed Forces Outreach with housing, employability and more A powerful evening of reflection, pride and connection. #ArmedForces #VeteransSupport #Launchpad #believehousing #CommunityImpact

We would like to thank everyone who supported the Launchpad NE Armed Forces’ Charity Dinner at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on Thursday 9 October. What a night! A huge thanks to our sponsors: Esh Group, believe housing, NWG (Northumbrian Water Group), Mode Rehabilitation and Pearson Engineering Ltd. The largest charity dinner event to date, began with a rousing set from the Tyne Electric Engineers Association Pipes and Drums, followed by our host Alfie Joey. We then enjoyed a warm welcome from Jill Murray BA FCIH, CEO of Launchpad, followed by heartfelt words from Kate Marshall, Social Value Manager at our headline sponsor Esh Group. Andy Reid MBE moved the room with an inspiring talk on resilience and self-belief. Our live auction featured a genuine 1928 Tyne Bridge rivet donated by Esh Group, which attracted lively bidding in the room and raised £1,000. Dan Smith, Launchpad Ambassador and former Sergeant and Army PTI, shared an honest and motivating address about perseverance and what we are all capable of. Mike Milligan, comedian took to the stage following the live auction. The donations are still coming in, and we have already raised over £21,000 on the night and through ticket sales. This amount was in addition to the kind cheque donations which we received from Dan Smith and Newcastle United Armed Forces Supporters Club. Your generosity helps Launchpad provide safe homes and the wraparound support that turns a fresh start into a future for our homeless veterans. #Newcastle #NorthEast #TyneBridge #Veterans #ArmedForces #Charity #SocialValue #CSR #Launchpad #Homelessness #Fundraising #SocialImpact #Community #VeteransSupport #EndHomelessness #Housing #ESG #ThirdSector #CommunityImpact #BusinessForGood Mark Underhill OBE DL Richard Dixon-Warren Ian Dormer CBE CDir Chris Smith Katherine McGough Sarah-Louise McCartney MCIM Darush Dodds Claire MacAleese Chris Longstaff Ian Summerson
