☀️ 𝗔 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲. In June 2025, solar power generated more electricity than any other source in the EU, reaching 22% of total production. It’s the first time solar has led the continent’s energy mix, marking a clear shift toward cleaner, more resilient power generation. At Alectris, we see this as proof of what’s possible when renewable infrastructure, smart operations, and consistent asset care come together. The energy transition is accelerating — and we’re proud to be part of the momentum driving it forward. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/d69-Ry5w 🔗About us: https://alectris.com

Renewable energy's intermittency is one of the key barriers to achieving a reliable, decarbonized grid. While short-duration lithium-ion batteries are widely deployed for applications like frequency regulation and peak shaving, more is needed to address multi-hour or multi-day energy gaps caused by solar and wind generation fluctuations. Long-duration energy storage fills this gap by providing extended storage capabilities. It enables energy generated during periods of high renewable output to be stored and used during times of low generation. This functionality supports grid operators in balancing supply and demand, reducing reliance on fossil fuel-based peaker plants, and enhancing energy security. https://lnkd.in/gNj5c58H

WHY ENERGY STORAGE MATTERS: The Bridge to a Stable, Efficient Grid Our power grid faces a critical challenge: balancing the unpredictable nature of renewable generation with our daily consumption. This leads to: - Unstable Grids from intermittent solar and wind. - Expensive Peak Demand met by polluting "peaker plants." - Wasted Surplus of clean energy when production exceeds demand. Energy storage is the essential solution. Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) bridge this gap by storing excess clean energy and dispatching it when needed most. They deliver critical stability, efficiency, and control, turning grid volatility into reliability and wasted power into a valuable asset. This is where DC&T Global provides the critical link. We deliver tailored BESS solutions that help utilities and businesses stabilize their infrastructure, reduce peak demand costs, and maximize the use of renewable energy. The future of energy isn't just about generation; it's about intelligent management. #energystorage #cleanenergy #sustainablefuture #renewableenergy #solarpower #windenergy #greentechnology #smartenergy #powerstorage #energyefficiency #futureofenergy #sustainablesolutions #cleantech #smartgrid

🌞⚡ Energy Storage: The Real Engine Behind Renewable Power 🌬️🔋 We often celebrate solar panels and wind turbines as the icons of clean energy — and rightly so. But the real enabler of a 24/7 renewable future isn’t what generates power. It’s what stores it. As renewables expand, the grid faces a fundamental challenge: variability. The sun doesn’t shine at night, and the wind can stall without warning. Without storage, even the most advanced renewable system remains intermittent. That’s where BATTERIES change everything. They transform solar and wind projects from variable to dispatchable assets, providing stability, reliability, and economic value to the grid. ⚙️ Here’s how energy storage redefines the renewable equation: a) Grid Stability & Frequency Regulation – Batteries react within milliseconds to balance generation and demand, keeping power quality intact. b) Load Shifting & Peak Management – Store energy when it’s abundant, release it when prices and demand peak — maximizing ROI. c) Curtailment Reduction – No more wasted sunlight or wind; stored energy ensures every kilowatt counts. d) Market Participation & Arbitrage – Smart battery systems leverage data and analytics to capitalize on market price fluctuations. From a business perspective, the economics are aligning fast. 🔹 Global LCOE for battery storage has fallen by over 70% in the last decade (BNEF). 🔹 Co-located solar-plus-storage projects now deliver grid services once dominated by fossil plants. 🔹 Investors are shifting focus from generation capacity to energy flexibility — the true driver of long-term value. The future of energy isn’t just about producing renewables. It’s about controlling when and how that energy is used. Because in the clean energy transition, the winners won’t just be those who capture the wind or the sun — but those who master the timing. #RenewableEnergy #EnergyStorage #BatteryTechnology #SolarEnergy #WindPower #CleanTech #GridIntegration #EnergyTransition #Sustainability #EnergyInvestment

🔋☀ Why Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are Game-Changers in the Solar Sector As the world accelerates toward renewable energy adoption, solar power is taking a leading role. But one of the key challenges remains: intermittency. The sun doesn’t always shine when demand is highest. This is where Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) come in. ✅ Grid Stability – BESS ensures smooth integration of solar energy into the grid, reducing fluctuations and supporting reliable power delivery. ✅ Energy Shifting – Excess solar energy generated during the day can be stored and supplied during peak demand hours, maximizing efficiency. ✅ Cost Savings – By reducing reliance on backup fossil-fuel generation, BESS cuts operational costs and supports a more sustainable energy mix. ✅ Decarbonization – BESS plays a crucial role in enabling higher penetration of clean energy, helping countries and businesses reach their net-zero targets. As solar projects continue to scale globally, pairing them with advanced storage solutions is no longer optional—it’s essential for unlocking the true potential of renewable energy. 🌍 The future of energy is not just solar, it’s solar + storage. #SolarEnergy #BESS #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy #EnergyStorage

The energy we use to power the world has made a tremendous shift in the last decades, with the rise of electricity for both domestic and industrial uses, as well as mobility. And its demand keeps growing day by day. The International Energy estimates that global electricity demand will increase by 3.3% this year, and 3.7% in 2026. It takes a lot of power generation, transmission lines and customer connections to meet this, how will we achieve it? With innovation that brings renewables even further, with storage, with flexibility, with efficiency in both the energy generation and its use. Next year, renewables will surpass coal in the world energy mix, a milestone EDP has long reached. More than 90% of the energy we produce today comes from renewable sources, and this transformation comprises from generation sites to transmission lines, from regular distribution to new technologies such as solar Distributed Generation (DG), charging stations and storage. EDP has been at the forefront of the energy transition, with talent, innovation, digitalisation and, above all, a strong commitment to a greener future. #EDPWeChooseEarth #EnergyTransition #InnovationAtEDP
