“The government’s planning reforms are welcome and should increase housebuilding substantially outside London. But planning is not the main barrier to construction in the capital. London’s problem is simple: viability. It has become too expensive to build new homes there.” Writing in the Sunday Times, Berkeley Group Chair Rob Perrins explains the reasons for the collapse in homebuilding activity in London, and how we can fix it. #HousingCrisis #Homebuilding #London #Investment #Growth https://lnkd.in/ee_schqB
Really disappointed with Berkeley homes. The property I own as a leaseholder has had constant problems with the heating and hot water. Berkeley have given a contract to Switch2 Energy Limited who have taken no responsibility for the ongoing issues. We have had more than 13 outages in the past year - sometimes for days. All residents have constantly emailed Switch2, but all that is done is a quick fix that never lasts. We are going into winter and it is unfair on all residents, but dangerous for vulnerable residents. How people with small children are coping I have no idea.
