A fantastic event for female leaders highlighting the power of strong investor–founder relationships in driving growth. BGF Investor Chris Morgan was invited to join as an ally in the conversation, sharing our perspective on building trusted, long-term partnerships that help founders scale. Thanks to Boardwave and HSBC Innovation Banking for hosting.
Scaling a business is never a solo journey, and events like this morning make us so grateful for the community we have behind us! Earlier today, our female leaders joined us in London to explore the VC, Founder relationship, and how it can play a transformative role in supporting a scaling business. We were fortunate to hear from an incredible panel, composed of VC experts and founders, who spoke candidly about their experiences on both sides of the coin. Our dynamic panel, featuring Thuria Wenbar (Evaro), Chris Morgan (BGF), Holly Hudson (VenturePath), and Jane Elizabeth Reddin (AlbionVC), shared key insights on forging successful VC-CEO relationships and navigating the scaling journey: • Ensure your VC aligns with your business vision • The VC-CEO relationship is a ‘marriage’. There should be complete trust. • The Importance of transparency and open communication, especially when facing challenges. • Scaling requires a shift in mindset, including delegation, seeking and integrating external advice and embracing uncomfortable change. We’d like to thank HSBC Innovation Banking for making this event possible. We’d also like to thank our incredible panel, and our female leaders who brought such an open, positive energy to the room. #Boardwave #MakingWaves
