British Transport Police’s Post

The Chief Constable joined Rail Minister Lord Peter Hendy at London Victoria yesterday to relaunch the iconic See it Say it Sorted campaign. New posters will be displayed in stations and you’ll hear new announcements on trains, but the message remains the same. Passengers and rail staff should always text 61016 if something doesn’t look right, or call 999 in an emergency. The Government also announced £17million of funding to improve CCTV across the rail network, which will allow BTP quicker access to evidence so we can keep the railway moving and bring offenders to justice.

As part of the day Lord Hendy visited our CCTV control room and demonstrated why he’s a great leader. Not only did he show genuine interest. But having met him once before, he remembered me and took the time for chat, that’s a skill that can’t be underestimated in leaders.

Just about the most annoying thing about train travel in Britain.
