Conferences can get stuck in a "we've always done it this way" pattern. Lee Gimpel of Better Meetings is right — sponsorships are a critical (and often underleveraged) part of association conferences. Many association executives tell me their events generate “a lot” of sponsorship revenue. But too often, that revenue stops at the event. What if your conference sponsorships could be the starting point for year-round partnerships that: ▶️ Generate significantly more revenue for your association ▶️ Deliver ongoing content and engagement for your members ▶️ Provide deeper, measurable value for your corporate partners That’s the focus of Corporate Partnership Accelerator Day. My colleague, Dan Kowitz, and I will share proven strategies and examples from associations that transformed one-off event sponsorships into robust, year-long partnerships. Join us to learn how to expand your event sponsorships into sustainable, strategic partnerships that benefit everyone. https://lnkd.in/dCQnPNuj.

I have spent a lot time in my career thinking about how to prepare organizations for zero-emission fleet transitions. These transitions can be classified as VUCA problems — volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous — and they demand new ways of thinking. In preparing for presenting at the upcoming ZEBRA Roundtable, I’ve been revisiting my design thinking books from grad school. Not for nostalgia, but to draw inspiration for how we tackle workforce readiness in the face of zero-emission operational transformations. Electrification isn’t just about new buses. It’s about retraining teams, redesigning workflows, adopting new technological systems, and rethinking how safety and operations are managed across the organization. I’ll be sharing a framework that helps agencies make sense of this complexity. One that’s built to surface training needs, support frontline staff, and guide operational adaptation. Looking forward to connecting with old transit friends and fellow peers in Everett. And if you’re curious about how design thinking can help make workforce transformation more resilient, more human, and more actionable — let’s chat.
🦓 🚍 🎉 The ZEBRA Roundtable is just a few days away! We are so excited to host over 60 transit individuals from 22 agencies, in addition to our esteemed networking & presenting sponsors. If you missed this opportunity to join us in Everett, stay tuned for more information on our 2026 roundtables, and the spring location and dates announcement very soon! We can’t wait to share what we have planned for our members. #ZeroEmissionTransit #roundtable #transitnetworking #ZEBRA

At industry conferences and exhibitions, I’ve learned that choosing the right company representatives is crucial, it’s not just about sending anyone. While marketing or PR teams often lead the charge, these events are a goldmine for building deeper, strategic connections. I’ve seen firsthand how face to face interactions can transform relationships. When we send the right people those who understand our needs and can speak to our vision we don’t just network, we create lasting partnerships. It’s about listening to procurement teams challenges, showcasing our capabilities, and finding common ground. These events aren’t just about showing up, they’re about building bridges. When we invest in meaningful conversations, we create opportunities that pay off for years. It’s not just about today’s deal it’s about tomorrow’s collaborations and the value we can create together.💡
