Razorpay, NPCI, and OpenAI have launched a pilot called Agentic Payments, integrating ChatGPT with the UPI payments system to enable seamless, conversational shopping and payment processes. During the pilot, users can browse and buy products in ChatGPT, authenticate payments via UPI, and retain control with real-time tracking and cancellation. Banking partners include Axis Bank and Airtel Payments Bank, and BigBasket is among the first merchants onboarded.
