So the David's Heart Foundation is a 501C3 nonprofit organization with the mission to inspire, educate and empower youth through music and multimedia production. And really what that means is we use music and multimedia things that kids love to do to build a platform to be able to earn mentoring relationships with youth. So we started in a garage in Southeast San Diego in 2006 and in that process we started to trade good grades for recording. Studio time with young people. We saw how powerful the platform was and decided that it needed to be a full nonprofit. So Fast forward Today we're in downtown San Diego in the East Village, and we've grown to serve over 400 youth annually. We serve 95% of the juvenile justice system where we employ mobile studio backpacks to earn mentoring relationships with young people and incarcerated spaces, and then walk them back out into the community with the trusted adult assystem. Navigator to be able to help them through the probation process. As young people grow in our community, they have access to opportunities in the local creative economy. Our Biz Pod program boasts clients ranging from Sony to the San Diego Symphony. Young people are being paid for their skills and multimedia production and creating content that's being celebrated internationally. Ultimately, the David's Harp Foundation is a family dedicated to success in art and in life.
