A recent investigation has been published into the progress of the NHS Dental Recovery Plan, which was designed to address the widespread issues of access faced by patients across the country and to enhance the provision of treatments. Unfortunately, progress appears to be limited, with the number of treatments delivered falling short compared to the previous year. I know I sound like a broken record, but meaningful reform in NHS dentistry must prioritise a prevention-focused approach that fully utilises the entire dental team.
