Important new research from our network! Our Danish member society Koda, in collaboration with IFPI, has published a report on the potential economic impact of generative AI on music. The study by HBS Economics projects that, without political or market intervention, the Danish music industry could face losses of up to €921 million by between 2025 and 2030. In 2030 alone, the annual loss could reach €271 million — 28% of total revenues. The report highlights the urgent need for clear and responsible frameworks to guide the use of generative AI in music. It calls for frameworks that require explicit consent from rightsholders before their work is used alongside transparency from AI companies, and licensing agreements to ensure fair compensation and protect the sustainability of the Danish music economy. 👉 Read more: https://lnkd.in/gRBeksVu #CreatorsFirst #AI #Copyright #KODA #CISAC
