Hi, my name is David Evans. I'm the Medical Officer in Opioid Abatement, officer for City Beautiful Fire Department and the emergency manager for City of Beaufort. I'm originally from Beaufort, SC, born and raised. I'm actually a first generation here of my family. My dad's actually from Cleveland, OH. He was in the Marine Corps, which brought him down to. My mom was from Okinawa, Japan. My wife, Laurie, she's the Lieutenant over operations at the City of Beaufort Police Department. With the fire department. I run the medical program, so that includes. Getting any equipment we need to treat all the patients, the training, finding the classes for all the firefighters and also keeping track of their certifications. I keep track of the weather, communicate with the county emergency operations center and disseminate that information for any bad storms or any natural disasters coming. Fun fact about me, if I have two bearded Dragons and leopard gecko, A dog, a catfish. Turtles and sugar gliders. I enjoy working for City of Buford. Because I was born and raised here, I enjoy helping the citizens of of Beaufort. As I said, I grew up in the area so I've seen the place change. Multiple people come in.
