🐾 We may be a day late, but we couldn’t miss recognizing National Dog Day and two very special members of the Heartland Fire & Rescue family — Jax and Yara. As dedicated Station Dogs, Jax and Yara play an important role in supporting the mental health and wellness of our firefighters. Their presence provides comfort, reduces stress, and reminds us of the importance of balance and connection in a demanding profession. They are more than companions — they’re trusted teammates, valued just as much as the firefighters they serve alongside.
