The City of South Pasadena is proud to announce the promotion of Michael Smith to the rank of Police Corporal with the South Pasadena Police Department. With more than 13 years of dedicated service in law enforcement, including prior roles with the Cities of Duarte and City of Arcadia, Corporal Smith has consistently exemplified professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to community safety. Since joining the South Pasadena Police Department in 2016, he has served with distinction as a Patrol Officer and more recently as a Field Training Officer, where he has played a vital role in mentoring new recruits and upholding the department’s core values. In his new role as Police Corporal, Smith will take on expanded leadership responsibilities, supporting patrol operations and contributing to the continued growth and excellence of both his fellow officers and the department as a whole.
