Clare Eades’ Post

Last month we hosted our first CIO roundtable lunch for the Insurance market where we were discussing all things AI and Data. A thought provoking and enjoyable discussion with conversations around measurable ROI in AI usage coming from claims processing and are we holding AI in too higher regard or is it just new technology? We discussed challenges around the data quality and lack of standardisation in insurance data and what the market needs to do to transform systems and capture data properly in order to effectively adopt and use AI. The conversation closed on a brief discussion of talent attraction and needing to look out of the insurance industry for candidates with relevant AI experience.   If you would like to join our next CIO roundtable, please let me know. We are also hosting upcoming roundtables for the Insurance COO community and senior change professionals within the Legal sector. Please reach out for details.   A big thank you to James Heather-Hayes, Steve Jolley, Gina Gill, Christian Kitchen, Richard S Jones, Ben Spencer, Kevin Secker, John Bannister and Ed Davies for joining myself and Lyam Redmond in making the Insurance CIO roundtable a success.

Discussions like this highlight how the real value of AI depends on the quality and consistency of the data it’s built on, Clare.
