Nexta and Octopus get Italy's green light for 50 MW BESS

Nexta Capital Partners and Octopus Energy Generation have received Single Authorization (Autorizzazione Unica) from Italy’s Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) to build a 50 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in northern Italy. The permit marks a significant milestone for the joint venture, allowing the project to proceed to the next phase of development. “Securing this authorization confirms the strength of our vision and the ability of the Nexta team to successfully deliver complex projects with determination and expertise,” the Nexta management team said in a statement. “We are also pleased to highlight the excellent collaboration with Octopus Energy Generation, a strategic partner in promoting innovative and sustainable energy solutions. We are proud to be actively contributing to the development of a more forward-looking and responsible energy future.” The BESS approval also strengthens Nexta’s wider development strategy, which includes a pipeline of more than 500 MW of advanced-stage projects and a long-term goal of reaching 1.5 GW. https://lnkd.in/gbs25KQV #cleanenergy
