We are part of the Winners of the 🌊 Blue Innovation Awards 2025 🏆 On Thursday the 9th of October the ceremony of the Blue Innovation Awards took place in Brussels during StarWatts. We are pleased to share all winning initiatives: 🌱 The Aquaforest project won the 🏆Inspirational Blue Wave Award🏆, voted by the public, by Jan De Nul Group (together with Mantis Consulting, CO2logic, a South Pole company , HAEDES, ESPOL (Ecuador), University of Antwerp, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the local NGO FUNDACION CALISUR CALISUR. With the valuable support of the Vlaamse overheid and IUCN . This project uses dredged material to establish a #mangrove area in #Ecuador. It restores natural habitats and offers valuable insights into ecological building and nature-inclusive design. We would like to thank all our partners for the good collaboration. 💻 The MAHI Sense by @MAHI claimed the 🏆 Blue Innovation Wave 🏆. The MAHI Sense is the first autonomous maritime computer system approved for integration on internationally certified ships. This is a significant milestone for the future of autonomous shipping. 📐 The Geodrone 6800 by GEOxyz was honored with the 🏆Corporate Blue Innovation Wave Award 🏆. This drone performs sea measurements without crew onboard and is remotely operated from a land-based control room. It makes work safer, more sustainable, and more efficient, with reduced CO₂ emissions. 🐳 The Data Gedreven Walvis Routing App, a collaboration between Whale Guardians™ , BOGERD MARTIN , Dice Consulting Engineers, and LuxSpace, received the 🏆Blue Innovation Swell Award🏆. The app uses smart data to make shipping routes safer for whales by showing probable whale locations at any given time.
