This collaboration is comprehensive, targeting the entire ecosystem: securing Operations Control, Signaling, Telecom, Power Supply, and Automatic Fare Collection systems, as well as crucial train onboard systems. IIT Kanpur's mandate includes rigorous measures such as conducting a full Cybersecurity Gap Assessment (VAPT), establishing a robust Policy and Governance Framework, and strengthening technical controls like air-gaps and firewalls.
