In our ongoing Mental Health Awareness Month series, DISCO's Sheru Kadam, CEDS confronts the idea that success means constantly pushing limits. It's a narrative many legal professionals know well, and it's time to reframe it: “Setting boundaries is an act of self-care, allowing you to honor your needs and well-being. As lawyers, we’re often expected to just push through: always achieving, never pausing. We are often taught from childhood that we must do everything on our own, but reaching out when you need help is a sign of strength. Real progress comes with recognizing your mental and physical limits, and knowing when it’s time to slow down.” How do you challenge the "push through" mentality in your own career?
