Attacks and defenses for robotic autonomous vehicles: slides and workshop tools for a virtual playground. 🛩️🚗🤖 🎮💡 Academic researchers Pritam Dash and Karthik Pattabiraman from the University of British Columbia presented earlier this year their overview of the cybersecurity landscape of RAVs (Robotic Autonomous Vehicles) - from drones to robots to autonomous vehicles. The presentation also included a hands-on component, where participants were invited to download a virtual environment (a VirtualBox VM), run a simulated RAV, and try different attacks on it. Very interesting! At the time of writing this article, the VirtualBox VM is not available, but the framework with various attacks can be downloaded (see the GitHub links in the workshop materials below). A creative and very fresh idea for a presentation! Enjoy the slides, and please share :) More details: Crash, Fail-safe, or Recover: Securing Robotic Autonomous Vehicles [PDF]: https://lnkd.in/d8Xhxq7B Workshop materials [Google Drive]: https://lnkd.in/dRxsCdiM #automotive #autonomous #drone #robotaxi #mobility #robotic #attack #risk #cybersecurity #tech #infosec #money #future #automation
