After 24 incredible years at AXA Broker UK, I'm retiring from my role as Director of Commercial Customer Risk Management and Sustainability at year-end. It's been an honour leading our market-leading risk team, driving a sustainability focus for our customer and contributing to AXA's success. Over the years I have worked on projects with passionate colleagues in the UK & Ireland but also in many countries across the AXA world including, more recently, with the teams at AXA Climate in Paris and AXA Global Business Services (AXA GBS) in India. I have also been lucky to engage with many people I can now call friend across other insurers, brokers and many companies and organisations that are too many to mention here - you know who you are! AXA Broker UK will soon appoint my successor to lead a fantastic, engaged and committed team delivering market leading advice and solutions to our customers — the advert is coming shortly. I'm excited, whilst stepping away from full time commitment, I will have opportunity to engage some time in fire/security sectors through NED/advisory positions including AI and possibly some market solution disruption. Thank you to all my colleagues over many years, AXA Broker UK you are a fantastic business with great people, culture and provide opportunity to develop as far as your ambition stretches. Still a few weeks of full engagement however I am looking forward to staying connected from January onwards! #KnowYouCan 😊
Congratulations on an outstanding career in the insurance sector, Dougie. You’re known and respected by everyone, a true testament to how fully you’ve thrown yourself into making the value chain matter to all involved. Wishing you all the very best in your retirement, and look forward to catching up soon!
Truly the end of an era! You. I hope no one underestimates what you have achieved over that time, built a brilliant team & taken on a number of ‘extra curricular’ challenges that have further added to AXAs credibility and reach. I have no doubt that experience will be in high demand & hope to continue to see you out there going forward. In the meantime, thanks for all your help over the years.
