ADmit is turning 7 years old today!!!, and we are more dedicated than ever to the fight against Alzheimer's disease. The efforts of the last few years are beginning to bear fruit, and we have achieved significant milestones that position us at a critical turning point towards a positive trend. 1) We have developed the first IVD in blood to predict progression to Alzheimer's Dementia in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment, the MAP-AD Test, which is in the CE marking approval process. 2) Our laboratory has obtained the certificate of accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP), becoming the first CAP-accredited lab in Spain. 3) We have extended the scope of our ISO13485 to manufacturers. 4) The Agencia Española de Medicamentos y Productos Sanitarios (AEMPS) has granted us the “Licencia Previa de Funcionamiento de Instalación de Productos Sanitarios”. 5) We were pleased to welcome Dr. Russell Swerdlow, the renowned expert in the field of "Alzheimer’s Disease Mitochondrial Cascade Hypotesis", as a new member of our SAB. 6) We joined the StartUp Health’s Alzheimer's Moonshot Community, becoming part of this amazing group of Health Transformers. 7) We have established a Business Development Unit within our company, streamlining our team with the incorporation of Miguel A. Viribay, and reinforcing our Board of Directors with the incorporation of Ferran Prat as a Chairman. Finally, we are pleased to announce our incorporation in Almirall's Innovation Hub, The Hive, throughout 2025. This strategic move is aimed at accelerating the professionalisation of our team and will contribute to the realisation of our vision to become a leading company in the field of diagnosing and prognosing of age-related diseases. I couldn't be more excited and grateful today to share Boston University's launch of SEQSTER's 1-Click Records™ to aid in development of early Alzheimer's screening tool at #AAIC2024. The modern era of #AlzheimersResearch has arrived, bringing new hope and #innovation for the millions of patients and families living with the disease. Part of this optimism derives from the incredible advances in the #biomarkers and #diagnostics landscape. Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott, the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation and Dolby Family partnered with the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation to launch the #DiagnosticsAccelerator (DxA), a $100M global research initiative, to advance bold ideas for easier, more accurate and earlier diagnosis. To date, the DA has invested nearly $60 million in 58 projects spanning across #bloodtests, #retinal scans and #digital tools, laying the groundwork for affordable and accessible diagnostics to come to market in the near future. Only with an early and accurate diagnosis, can we move towards a future of tailoring personalized treatment plans for patients based on their individual biomarker profile.
