📝 techUK Report: Public Sector Procurement Landscape 2025     techUK’s Local Public Services Committee (2023-2025) has published a new report exploring insights from surveys of buyers and suppliers across local government and the wider public sector.    The findings highlight where perspectives diverge, and where improvements could strengthen procurement outcomes.     Key insights include:  • Visibility: Many suppliers reported gaps in visibility of opportunities, often missing out on bids due to direct awards.  • Strategy: Suppliers often had limited understanding of buyers’ strategic priorities, and alignment was not consistently rewarded in tenders.  • Process: Buyers and suppliers reported differing views on the fairness and effectiveness of procurement processes, with concerns around time, resources, and experience.  • Social Value: While seen as important, only 15% of suppliers felt social value is effectively applied in procurement.  • Procurement Act 2023: There is uncertainty about the extent to which the Act will improve current challenges.     The report also sets out practical recommendations to increase transparency, enhance strategic alignment, strengthen capability, and ensure procurement supports innovation and better outcomes for citizens.      📖 Read the full report here:   https://lnkd.in/eW7jVT9a      Special thanks to the Local Public Services Committee and all contributors for their expertise in shaping this work.    Denis Kaminskiy | Helen Gerling  -----------------------------  𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗨𝗞  techUK is a membership organisation that brings together people, companies and organisations to realise the positive outcomes of what digital technology can achieve.
