Lesson observations are vital for professional growth, but they can also be high-stakes, time-consuming, and offer only a snapshot of classroom practice. This article from IRIS Connect explores how combining video with AI can work to save time and sharpen reflection – helping teachers and coaches jump straight to key moments, track questioning, and see their practice more clearly. It’s a look at how AI might support meaningful feedback, not replace it. 📖 Read the full article on EdTech Impact: https://lnkd.in/einVkbuh

What if every student had a personal mentor — available 24/7? That’s what AI can make possible. Not to replace teachers or parents, but to support them. At CoreAlta, we believe education works best when: 👩🏫 Teachers guide. 🎓 Students explore. 👨👩👧 Parents stay informed. 🤖 And AI connects it all --turning learning into a continuous, personalized experience. This isn’t the future. It’s already happening. 💬 What role do you think AI should play in supporting the next generation of learners?

As parents and educators, we all want kids to be prepared for a world powered by AI. But here’s the tension I keep running into: 👉 AI can make homework faster. 👉 Yet the struggle — the messy part of learning — is what actually builds the brain. Research backs this up: when kids skip the effort, they skip the wiring that strengthens memory, logic, and focus. That’s why I believe AI in education shouldn’t be about replacing the work. It should be about guiding, nudging, and keeping kids engaged long enough to figure things out for themselves. Some families mix Khan Academy, IXL, or AoPS with newer tools that try to make practice fun and habit-forming. What matters isn’t the brand — it’s whether the tool respects the child’s learning process. 💡 My question to this network: How are you balancing AI as a helper without letting it become a crutch? #AIinEducation #ChildLearning #EdTech #FutureOfLearning #AIforKids

The EDTECH WEEK x Edtech Insiders collaborative webinar on classroom use cases for AI has been awesome, but I was particularly excited to hear Alex Sarlin tee up Lalitha Vasudevan (fellow Penn GSE alum!) to talk about the relationship between digital literacy and AI literacy. The fact of the matter is that the concepts of AI literacy and digital literacy have become inseparable, especially now that AI media generation has become so good - and so cheap - so quickly. Her phrase "reification of the hyperlocal" - getting students to start with things they know and trust before building from there - is super compelling! I've been wondering for a few months know how to pursue that very concept systematically...
