Mercury13 has acquired a majority stake in Bristol City Women. This landmark deal marks Mercury13’s entry into the English game and their second European investment after F.C. Como Women. The move establishes a new model for the sport: combining an integrated club structure with commercial independence to accelerate growth. Why Bristol City Women? - World-class infrastructure at Ashton Gate & Robins High Performance Centre - A rich history and passionate fanbase with record attendances - Proven talent pathway through its Tier 1 Academy With Head Coach Charlotte Healy leading a refreshed squad, the club is targeting a return to the WSL. Our role is to accelerate that journey with dedicated investment, commercial innovation, and a focus on the fan experience. This is more than a deal — it’s a commitment to growing the women’s game, deepening its cultural impact, and building something special with the Bristol community.

Fascinating given the model that Bristol City women already sit in as part of a multi sport team club... Great to see investment in women's sport
