Over two days, the event brought together stakeholders from industry, research and government to exchange insights on everything from emerging attacks to operational security and new regulatory demands. “The SCADA conference showed a clear shift: less talk about headlines, more focus on what actually works in operations. I see the potential here in Luxembourg to bring them both together.” 👉 #Speed is now strategy. In critical infrastructure, the pace at which we detect and respond to cyber threats defines our resilience. Attackers already use AI to automate intrusions; defenders must move at the same velocity. Another one from #ITIndaba2025... Was delighted and proud of seeing Pulana Ngwasheng (MIT, MPhil) and Makopi Nkopodi present so well at the conference. I know both of them from our younger days, hence I'm so proud too see them shine in big stages like the #ITIndaba2025. Both were tackling topical issues around Cybersecurity and AI, and in my previous post I mentioned key takeaways from the AI session with Makopi Nkopodi.On the other hand I resonate with what Pulana Ngwasheng (MIT, MPhil) said about the importance of making cybersecurity an organization-wide problem, and not an IT problem because tech controls alone will not prevent a cyber breach from happening. People in organizations (from the highest to lowest levels) must be aware of and be trained on cybersecurity, and processes in the organization must also be configured in a manner that ensures protection of data and information. Every person in the organization must know their responsibility, and Cybersecurity must be a standing agenda item at EXCO and Board level committees. Proud of you basadi🫶🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
