This year at Tales of the Cocktail Foundation, we teamed up with Diageo to bring to life three of their iconic brands—Ketel One, Oban, and Lagavulin—through unforgettable experiences that cultivated a story in every sip. Here’s how we made it happen:   🍸 Ketel One invited guests to enjoy savor-worthy first sips with a "First Call" theme that alleviates the "last call" chaos. We partnered with top mixologists from LPM Restaurant & Bar, La Factoria, and Silver Lyan to craft standout cocktails. Guests jiggled with Solid Wiggles jellies, stopped by the custom patch station for martini club flair, and penned postcards to their "first call"—because handwritten moments just hit different.   🦪  Oban took over Seaworthy Seafood Restaurant, treating guests to a Scottish-meets-NOLA happy hour, where jazz filled the air and Oban Single Malt shined in unexpected sips like the Stafford St. Highball a mix of pear cognac, citrus, ginger beer, and smoked salt. The star? An oyster bar with toppings galore, plus a drizzle of Oban for a timeless twist.   🔥 Lagavulin proved that smoky Scotch reigns supreme with an intimate happy hour at the historic Swoop-Duggins House, where legendary bartender Charles Joly served up showstopping smoked cocktails like the Lagavulin Spicy Margarita—presented in a smoke-filled box. Guests explored sensory layers through aromas, VR distillery tours, and real Islay peat smoke for full immersion.
