Last evening, Asilah Azil, Kritvi Kedia, and I had the joy of convening our first CHRO Community Gathering with global HR leaders in Singapore — a space to reflect on the future of work, leadership, and culture in a time of relentless disruption. 💡 Key takeaway: Technology may be transforming the workplace at unprecedented speed, but true change still begins with people — their mindsets, values, and resilience. Some of the themes we explored together include: ✨ AI adoption is psychological before it is technical. Tools alone don’t drive change, hearts and minds do. ✨ Strategic planning needs more honesty. In anxious times, leaders often default to quick fixes. Brave CHROs are those who admit, “we don’t yet have the answer,” and create space to figure it out together. ✨ Values are the last competitive advantage. Loyalty, humility, and culture can’t be replicated by competitors, they are what keep organizations resilient when markets fragment. We left the room reminded that while AI, deglobalization, and demographic shifts will keep reshaping the playing field, the enduring work of CHROs is to connect people to purpose, and also to one another. A big thank you to the leaders who joined us and shared so openly, and to the team working tirelessly behind the scenes to make this possible: Winnie Young Esther Subramaniam Christina Wang Matt Hirschland Mike Antonczyk Kelsey H. And to all the EAs supporting us!
Lucky you, supported by such amazing leaders (who happen to be all women!!!). Looking forward to organising the same in KL!
Looks like it was a great event, congratulations!
Love this post!! Loyalty, humility and courage can’t be replicated….culture is enduring… we need more leaders who LIVE this. Asilah Azil great to see you !! Long overdue for a catchup
