A strong step towards a successful future! A record-breaking period is in the books, the most successful Bundesliga season in our women’s team’s history. No question that we want to keep the architect of this success. So, I am really happy that head coach Roberto Pätzold has recently extended his contract with the Bayer 04 Leverkusen Women until 2027. The team developed a clear identity: intense, ambitious, courageous and technically skilled. It’s fully aligned with our club’s DNA. Our women play attractive football and believe in themselves. That’s the kind of identity we like to see. Now it’s about continuity on a high level. Key players are leaving, new talent is coming in. It’s on us to make sure the spirit carries over. From what I see, the signings we’ve made so far are promising. The foundation is strong. I believe in this team – and in the management around. Thomas Eichin, Achim Feifel, Linda Schöttler and many more have contributed significantly to the development of women’s football at Bayer 04. Let’s keep going, keep believing! Take care, Fernando
