Understanding the surface chemistry of lipid nanoparticles is essential to engineering RNA-based medicines with precision. In a collaborative study led by the University of Nottingham, Sail Biomedicines, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and the UK’s National Physical Laboratory (NPL), scientists used Cryo-OrbiSIMS to map the structure and composition of LNPs like never before.
