As we look to the future, we can expect training and education standards, regulatory frameworks, and technology infrastructure to evolve in support of this shift. But here’s the reality: with each layer of expansion, the demands on pharmacists and their teams will grow. That means more conditions to assess, more documentation to complete, more billing codes to remember, more follow-up to track — all while staying fully compliant with other regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest standard of patient care. Frankly, doing all of that without the right tools will be nearly impossible if you want to remain competitive and relevant in the next era of pharmacy practice. Read the blog, authored by our CEO Dr. Nardine Nakhla, to learn how you can future-proof your pharmacy practice: https://lnkd.in/d87tsFgc

In 2021, we championed the legalization of in-office dispensing for medical practitioners through SB 374 💊 148 practitioners across Montana are now registered to dispense medications directly to their patients — saving an extra trip to the pharmacy. Many offer meds at or near wholesale prices, cutting costs for patients. 💵 For more info on healthcare reforms and expansion of access in Montana, stay tuned on our socials, and check out our new Healthcare Reform Impact Report on our website 👉 https://lnkd.in/g4YFxK-P

Understanding every piece of the 340B Program is key to maintaining accuracy and compliance. The Health Industry Number (HIN) is a critical part of the system, ensuring drugs reach the correct covered entity or contract pharmacy, chargebacks are properly tracked, and program integrity is preserved. By linking facilities and pharmacies accurately, HINs help reduce errors and streamline communication across the 340B network. EMS has come a long way: delivering complex, high-acuity care in the field...but much of our regulatory and reimbursement framework still reflects a transportation-first past. From “certification cards” to agency-tied renewals, many practices persist simply because “that’s how it’s always been done.” Understanding this history is key to advocating for a modern EMS model that matches the care we actually provide: https://ow.ly/TxTL50X2Pp8

At Chartwell Pharmacy, we’re redefining what that partnership looks like: integrated clinical support, payer collaboration, and patient-first service.Specialty Pharmacy is no longer just a “dispensing service”. It’s a strategic partner in value-based care. Specialty medications represent less than 2% of prescriptions, yet nearly 50% of pharmacy spend. That’s why a successful Specialty Pharmacy must do more than fill scripts. It must improve adherence, manage side effects, and coordinate care across providers. #specialtypharmacy #chartqwll #specialtymedications
