Blockchain cuts port delays by 50–70%. Blockchain integration within port community and single window systems is changing how customs, shipping lines, and terminal operators share data. Research published in ScienceDirect — “Blockchain technology in maritime single window and port community systems: A bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review” — shows blockchain’s potential to eliminate redundant paperwork, reduce delays, and strengthen data integrity across maritime trade chains. The study emphasizes improved interoperability, transparency, and security in port communication networks, while identifying key challenges like legacy system integration and regulatory fragmentation. It calls for real-world pilots, especially across developing regions, to validate scalability and governance models. 📖 Read the full report 👇🏼 https://lnkd.in/eDnh_6bJ Join us at the Onchain Dialogue. 📅: Nov. 5, 2025 ⌚: 11AM (WAT) 📍: Virtual (link will be posted before event day) Register here 👇🏼 https://luma.com/de4p4i0x #BlockchainTechnology #OnchainbyMariblock #OnchainbyMB

💡 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 One of the fundamental principles of blockchain systems is 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗺, every node must reach the 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 when executing a smart contract. That’s what ensures 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝘀 and 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. But this rule also creates a limitation: ➡️ Smart contracts 𝗰𝗮𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 (like prices, weather, or APIs), because external data is 𝗻𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰, it can change depending on when or where it’s fetched. This is where 𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗲𝘀 come in. 🧩 Oracles, like 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸, securely 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗻-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱𝘀. They collect data from multiple sources (𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀, 𝗔𝗣𝗜𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀), aggregate and verify it through decentralized nodes, and deliver 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗿-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 to smart contracts. In 𝗗𝗲𝗙𝗶, this enables accurate 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, and 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, unlocking a 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀. #Blockchain #SmartContracts #DeFi #Chainlink #Oracles #Web3 #Ethereum #Determinism #Crypto #DecentralizedFinance #DataIntegrity #BlockchainDevelopment

China has launched an operations center for the digital yuan in Shanghai, aligning with the People's Bank of China’s plans to establish an international hub for services including cross-border payments, blockchain infrastructure, and digital assets. The new center is tasked with advancing three core platforms: a cross-border digital payment platform, a blockchain service platform, and a digital asset platform. Tian Xuan, president of Tsinghua University’s National Institute of Financial Research, said the center “contributes to enhancing China’s influence in the global financial system and provides an open, inclusive and innovative Chinese solution for improving the global cross-border payment system.” With the opening of the International Operation Center for the digital yuan, China is shifting from experimentation to assertive expansion Read more: https://lnkd.in/d_egeedw #DigitalYuan #eCNY #PBOC #ShanghaiFintech #CBDC #CrossBorderPayments

Day 4 – Built-In Trust Trust Without a Middleman Traditional systems rely on intermediaries (banks, brokers, regulators) to validate transactions. Blockchain changes that. Through consensus mechanisms, transactions are verified by the network itself — creating trust without a central authority. It’s not just innovation; it’s a new foundation for digital trust. 💬 Could decentralized trust models replace banks or brokers in the future? Alphonsus Ikhoyameh James Ufuoma Sorogheye. This Boston Consulting Group (BCG) whitepaper is the best analysis I've seen on stablecoins. It cuts through the "Look, they're growing so fast!" hype (92% of the volume is trading, pairing or on/off-ramping) by analyzing their features relative to existing options for several use cases. The potential is huge, but the challenges are significant, including the costs of off-ramping, blockchain interoperability, decoding traceability data, and my favorite: "if a stablecoin issuer fails, customer holdings are not necessarily protected or easily recoverable, despite the presence of liquid reserve assets like T-bills." For this reason, a 2024 whitepaper found the risk of a stabelccoin run "economically significant" (see "Could Stablecoins Destablize Other Markets?"). My take: the biggest benefit of stablecoins, at least for developed economies, will be to drive the existing payment systems to modernize, in part by adopting the same underlying technology. I would be happy to hear (fact-based) arguments to the contrary. https://lnkd.in/gu9Uajjb

🚨 Systemization-of-Knowledge (SoK): Preconfirmations In recent years, significant research efforts have focused on improving blockchain throughput and confirmation speeds without compromising security. While decreasing the time it takes for a transaction to be included in the blockchain ledger enhances user experience, a fundamental delay still remains between when a transaction is issued by a user and when its inclusion is confirmed in the blockchain ledger. This delay limits user experience gains through the confirmation uncertainty it brings for users. This inherent delay in conventional blockchain protocols has led to the emergence of preconfirmation protocols - protocols that provide users with early guarantees of eventual transaction confirmation. This article presents a Systematization of Knowledge (SoK) on preconfirmations. The authors present the core terms and definitions needed to understand preconfirmations, outline a general framework for preconfirmation protocols, and explore the economics and risks of preconfirmations. Finally, they survey and apply their framework to several implementations of real-world preconfirmation protocols, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

If your RWA isn’t EDMA Verified, it can’t be on blockchain. EDMA’s Proof of Verification ties money movement to independently attested evidence: Source → Verify → Gate → Mint. For example, in a trade finance flow, funds remain gated until both the bill of lading and certificate of analysis are verified by approved attestors. Only then does settlement trigger and the on-chain record mint. The gate is not a metaphor—it is an enforceable control point. This standard removes blind settlement risk and establishes a verifiable bridge between real-world assets and blockchain infrastructure. Professionals exploring next-generation settlement standards are invited to join the EDMA Zealy Sprint and contribute to shaping operational benchmarks.
