CBSA Service Outage Causes Delays at Border

🚨 #BorderAlert: Significant delays expected through the weekend due to CBSA service outage that began earlier this week, resulting now in high message volumes and backlogs. What You Need to Know: ✅ Inbound data via EDI & eManifest is being received and processed ✅ Outbound messages (acknowledgements, reject messages, RNS, notices) may be delayed ✅ eManifest portal may show trade data stuck in “Updating” status ✅ CERS and CARM Client Portals are experiencing intermittent access issues ✅ CERS users may see the error: “Your document cannot be accepted at the moment…” ✅#PeaceBridge crossing into Canada should be avoided by commercial carriers due to capacity issues in Western NY. ⚠️ Impact on Regulated Goods Shipments requiring CFIA & other agency clearance face longer delays. Perishable & urgent shipments are being prioritized where possible. 📌 Recommended Action Importers should hold non-essential cargo until systems stabilize to avoid significant congestion. We’re monitoring closely and working with CBSA to keep trade flowing. 🔗 Full update: https://lnkd.in/dXXkCv3f

"The Government of Canada needs to make a commitment to resolve this issue on behalf of the CBSA and ensure what’s occurred this week and has continued to recur over the last several years, will not be repeated,” says Canadian Trucking Alliance's Director of Policy and Industry Awareness Programs, Lak Shoan. https://cantruck.ca/cbsa-system-outage-continues-to-cause-dismay-supply-chain-chaos-across-canada/
